2010 3 Series
The 2010 3-Series BMW wagons and sedan models will come with minor changes after their freshening in 2009 and the introduction of diesel engine. The model is expected to be continued in the similar manner and will be offered as two door convertibles and coupes as well s four-door wagons and sedans.
The three versions will continue namely the entry level 328, high performance M3 and mid-line 335. Depending on the style of the body, the drive type will be provided. All the gasoline engines will be paired to 6-speed manual transmission. The 328i sedan model will be powered by 3.0 liter I-6 engine that can deliver power up to 172 kilo watts at an angular speed of 6500 rpm and torque of 200 lb ft at an angular spewed of 2750 rpm.
The engine to be provided in the 2010 3-Series BMW sedans will have the bore size of 85.0 mm, stroke of 88.0 mm and compression ratio of 10.7 with four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing and double overhead cam.
The 2010 3 Series model will be equipped with the standard features like
• Strut front suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bar,
• Antilock braking system,
• Stability control program,
• Immobilizer,
• Brake Assist system,
• Electronic traction control via engine management and ABS,
• Four disc brakes including four ventilated discs, and
• Cornering brake control
The wheel base of the next generation 3-Series models is expected to be 108.7 inches wider and the vehicle will be featured with all the latest safety and entertainment features.
