2010 Audi S8 expected soon!

The new S8 from the Audi group is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show at the last season of the model year 2009. The vehicle happens to come as a predecessor to the 7 series model from the Audi group, which lagged in the styling and the present S8 will come with a new facelift. According to the sources from the Audi, the chief designer Stefan Sielaff stated that the new generation 2010 comes with the more precise, sharper and strong model.

The present model design and its previous version look pleasing to eyes, but it does not convey the innovative chassis technology, which is beneath the appearance. The new Audi S8 body structure is stronger and lighter than those of its previous steel structuring versions.


The new coming Audi S8 will use the aluminum exterior panels and the aluminum space frames, which results in the reduction of weight to the vehicle when compared with the previous steel design models. As stated by the Chief designer Sielaff, the next generation S8 will be unique with its aluminum design aspects and its strong 3-dimensional theme. The model comes with a clear top down strategy.

The futuristic S8 will be available in both the long wheel base and the short wheel base versions and is expected to release in the middle of 2010. The vehicle uses the architecture of modular longitude, which was introduced on the models like the A4, A5 and the Q5 models. The front axle in the vehicle is shifted forward when compared with the present S8 model in use. The new S8 have more number of emerging customers in the countries of China and Russia.

The new S8 will be available in either the four wheel drive or the all wheel drive, but it may come with the front wheel drive if there are customers to the vehicle who demand for the front wheel drive. This model at present is used in Europe as the fuel efficient alternative models. The engine to the vehicle comes in 4.2 liter turbo diesel V8 and the 4.2 liter V8 gasoline engine, both of them equipped with the new ZF sourced 8-speed automatic transmission.

The same type of engine will be used in the new BMW 7 Series model. The vehicle also offers the 3.0 liter turbo diesel V6 engine, which is very much popular in the Europe and the 3.0 liter V6 from the S4 and the A6 models. The vehicle will also offer a turbo diesel V12 version launched in the Q7 model of Audi.

The new Audi S8 is expected to hit the market in the late 2010 or in the early months of 2011, and the vehicle uses:

• Engine: Turbo Charged V10 model
• Capacity: 600 horse power
• Transmission: ZF sourced 8-speed automatic

The other noticeable features to be incorporated in the vehicle are expected to be the special interiors done by Audi, new Multi Media Interface and larger screen architecture at the center.
