The 2010 Caprice is expected to hit the car market by the end of 2010 or in the early season of 2011. The new model will be a rear wheel drive car to be powered by a 6.0 liter V8 engine that can produce power up to 355 hp and torque of 384 lb ft. The only transmission to be offered to the engine will be a six-speed automatic.

Performance

The new 2010 Caprice model will accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a time span of just 6 seconds. The engine in the 2010 Caprice will come with a fuel saving technology like E85 capability and active fuel management.

According to the sources from GMC, it is expected that the 2010 Caprice model will also offer V6 engine as optional from 2012 model year. New features offered in the model, prices and the ratings can be seen in the GMC sites.

Chevrolet officially announced that it is also going to release its Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV), by the end of 2010 or in the early season of 2011. Apart from the fine interiors, and stylish exteriors it also offers more safety features as safety is the main concern to any present generation car.
