The 2010 Dakota from the house of Dodge will be a tough and powerful car that comes powered by V6 engine. Though the model will be a compact car, it will have slightly larger space in comparison to its predecessor and other competitor models. The handsome and improved looks will definitely attract the truck lovers. The good news to the lovers of truck buyers, the next generation Dakota will be offered in various monochromatic colors and designs.

Trim Levels

The 2010 Dakota is expected to be offered in three various body styles- the crew Quad cab, regular cab and the extended Club cab. The Quad cab model will be a family car, with more interiors and spacious in comparison to the Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger.

As far as the crash tests conducted to the model car, it scored four out of five stars for both passenger and driver in frontal collision. The safety features that are expected to be included in the 2010 Dakota will be four wheel antilock brakes system and rear wheel antilock brakes.

Engine

The powertrain to the 2010 Dakota will be a new 3.7 liter V6 model that can produce power up to 210 hp and torque of 235 lb ft. The optional engines that are expected to be offered as optional include 4.7 liter V8 that produces power up to 235 hp and torque of 295 lb ft.
