The 2010 Honda Insight comes with the goal of using the most effective hybrid technology in the vehicle. The vehicle falls under the category of compact car. According to the real world highway fuel economy tests conducted to the vehicle, the new 2010 racked up to 60 miles per each gallon. The vehicle comes in 5-door hatchback model with abrupt, high tail and smooth front.



The vehicle is designed using more innovative styles and provides comfort drive in the vehicle. The vehicle features with the aerodynamic design, unique LED brake lights and futuristic styles. The interior region in the vehicle includes with innovative Multi Information Display, 60/40 split fold down rear seat that provides more space and also includes an impressive sound system in the car. The car uses the 1.3 liter i-VTEC engine, Eco Assist that boosts up the fuel efficiency in the car and also included with the Improved Integrated Motor Assist IMA system.

The vehicle appears similar to the Toyota Prius and Honda Civic hybrid models. When compared with the Prius model, the 2010 Insight is cheaper and also offers more efficiency in the usage of fuel, providing enjoyable and agile ride. The vehicle is smaller when compared with the Prius and is small by 2.5 inches in both height and length. It also has the shorter wheel base by 6 inches. The dashboard in the vehicle looks similar to that of in the Honda Fit and Honda Civic models.


The Insight model is equipped with,

• Honda satellite linked navigation system along with the voice recognition,
• Honda vehicle stability system,
• alloy wheels,
• steering wheel mounted paddle shafters,
• Cruise Control and 6-speaker sound system along with USB interface

The compact car with its engine gives maximum results in terms of fuel efficiency. The vehicle has the fuel economy of 40 miles per gallon in the city streets while gives 43 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The other key features in the vehicle include temperature display, Multi Information Display, current MPG and average fuel consumption by the car.


The safety features in the vehicle include mitigate pedestrian injuries at the front side of the body, dual stage air bags, anti lock brakes with electronic brake distribution system, front passenger and driver active head restraints and passenger side occupant position detection system.


The main accessories included in the vehicle are leather steering wheel cover, fog lights, floor mats, auto night or day mirror, body style molding, splash guards, rear and front under body spoiler and wheel locks. The small car comes with the 1.3 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 98 horse power of energy and delivers torque of 123 lb ft. It comes with providing accommodation for the five passengers. The CVT (Continuous Variable transmission) technology in the vehicle provides operating the engine in most efficient way. A CVT transmission actually does not includes gears but it uses electronics to operate the transmission to down shift or up shift based on the paddle hits by the driver.
