2010 Jetta
The next generation model, 2010 Jetta will be similar in size in comparison to its current Jetta version. This model is also called as Golf Estate or Wagon in the North American market.
The 2010 Jetta from the world’s number one automaker, Volkswagen will be redesigned to be more reliable and affordable. The model might be produced in United States. Keeping fuel rates in mind, the 2010 Jetta is also expected to be offered in diesel version as the cost of the gas and petrol is more. The Volkswagen Jetta TDI engine on an average can achieve fuel economy of 45 miles per gallon combined both city and highway. The next generation Jetta model will be powered by 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine, replacing the 1.9 liter TDI that can produce power up to 140 hp and torque of 236 pound feet.
The expected competitors to the 2010 Jetta model will be Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. According to the sources from Volkswagen, it is expected that the sales of the next generation Jetta will begin from the first quarter of 2011.
The features that are expected to be included in the 2010 Jetta model are
• Climate control, Electronic stability program,
• Remote central locking,
• Day time running lights,
• Heated and power outside mirrors,
• Six air bags,
• Roof rails, and
• Split folding bench seat
The 2010 Jetta will be offered in three different trim levels, namely the Highline, Comfortline and Trendline. The next generation variant will also offer 6 various engines choice and two among them will be paired to DSG dual clutch transmission.
