The other engines that are expected to be offered by the model are 1.3 liter JTD turbo diesel engine that can produce power up to 55 kilo watts and torque of 145 Nm and the 1.4 liter petrol engine that can produce power up to 74 kilo watts and 131 Nm of torque. The JTD engine will be offered as a replacement to its previous 1.3 liter 8-valve engine that produces power up to 43 kilo watts and torque of 100 Nm. All the engines will be paired to 5-speed manual transmission.

The lack of automatic gearbox in the 2010 ka will be the biggest hurdle for the sales in the Australian market. The 2010 ka along with the Fiat 500 and Panda light vehicles will have the same drive components and same basic under carriage. Apart from the hood and basic amenities, the next generation Ka model will also be included with all the safety features needed for both the driver and passenger
