The new 2010 Range Rover from Land Rover is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2009 as a 2010 model vehicle. The new model comes with minor modifications when compared with the previous model and these include a new bumper design and grille, as well as new revamped interior and new head lights.

The 2010 Range Rover comes powered with 5.7 liter V8 super charged engine that can produce up to 510 horse power and also offers present 3.0 liter V6 engine. The next generation Range Rover comes with the same designs as the previous model but features certain minor changes to both the exterior as well as to the interior. The features redesigned in the exterior of the vehicle include rear and front head lights with LED’s, while the interior comes with the latest TFT instrument display panel and split view central display allowing the driver to view the screen. The new safety features to the vehicle include surround camera system and blind spot monitoring system. The next generation Range Rover comes mated with the ZF six speed automatic transmission.


The other revisions expected in the new Range Rover model include vehicle’s suspension system and integrated adaptive dynamics. This system works well on off-road, and minimizes shock settings based on present terrain. It also uses Damp Tronic shock valves that can adjust continuously and the wheel monitors provide ideal range of comfort and sportier drive.

The new Range Rover comes with the wheel base of 113.3 inches, 195.7 overall length, 80.1 inches overall width and overall height of 73.4 inches. The vehicle allows five passengers to accommodate. With the powerful engine, the 2010 variant can achieve 12 miles per gallon in the city premises, while 18 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The engine produces power of 375 hp at the rate of 6500 rotations per minute and torque of 375 lb ft at the rate of 3500 rotations per minute.

The available safety features that are expected to feature in the new Range Rover include front side air bags, antilock brakes, traction control system, anti skid system, rear side air bags and curtain side air bags.


Inside changes to the new 2010 Range Rover include are more dramatic, comes with a new virtual gauge cluster that uses a 12 inch thin film transistor screen instead of anolog needle instruments. Other adjustments in the interior include a new switch gear, new leather headliner, a revamped steering wheel with multi directional thumb pads, and an upgraded navigation system. The GPS system in the model is a touch screen based on hard drive that also includes a dedicated iPod port and USB connectivity.
