2010 Ranger

The new 2010 Ranger from Ford will make its debut in to the European market at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, integrating modern exterior design and sleek with genuine durability and toughness. The new model will be available in the trims ranging from entry level XL to the top ranging Wildtrak and will also offer three types of body styles namely Double cab, Rear Access Panel (RAP) and Single cab.


As far as the RAP cab is concerned, it comes with the four-door so as to provide free access to the cabin with two rear hinged access panels and two forward hinged doors. The next generation Ranger will also offer ten different high quality exterior paint options, five of them are new namely Desert bronze, Copper Red, Highland green, Lagoon Blue and Wining Blue.


The new Ranger will continue to offer a wide range of engines, drive train configurations and transmissions to meet the needs of all the customers. The 2010 model will offer two types of engines namely 3.0 liter or 2.5 liter versions. The diesel models will be offered in 4×4 and 4×2 configurations and can be paired with either 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.


The 2.5 liter engine can produce 105 kilo watts of power and torque of 330 Nm, while the 3.0 liter engine can generate up to 115 kilo watts of power and 380 Nm of torque. The 4×4 Ranger will come with superior designs, more ground clearance and also provides drive comfort.

Despite its tough off road and loading capabilities, the new 2010 Ranger also offers nice interior and low noise levels. The interior features in the new 2010 variant include,

The 2010 ranger will be designed so as to reduce the harshness, vibration and noise inside the vehicle. The audio system in the variant comes with the digital display feature along with clock function. It will come with the stowage solutions like front door stowage bin, pull out sliding tray, and a center stack sunglass binnacle. The seating capacity in the single cab model will be two, four in RAP cab and five in the double cab. The rear seats can be folded in RAP cab models to provide more cargo space in the vehicle rather than using rear cargo space. The 2010 ranger model suits well for the business people as well as for stylish vehicle seekers.


The heart of the new 2010 Ranger truck is its deep extra deep side wall pickup box as it increases cargo flexibility and load capacity. The features in the pickup box include slotted inner fenders that manage and loads cargo easily and well placed cargo tie downs, which provides easy access. Based on the cab style three different pickup boxes will be offered. The towing capacity of the 2010 ranger will be 3000 kilo grams.
