2010 Sierra on its way pretty soon!

The new 2010 Sierra from the General Motors Corporation was scheduled to receive a latest V8 turbo diesel engine, but its opening has been delayed due to the General Motor’s financial problem. Otherwise, the Sierra 1500 released in the year 2009 should remain unchanged extensively.

The vehicle falls under the category of pickup truck class cars. The 2010 Sierra happens to come in three types of models regular cab, crew cab and the extended cab model vehicles. All the vehicles are designed by taking its basic model designs like the Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

The extended cab comes with rear hinged back doors that do not open on its own of the fronts. The regular cab comes with the seating capacity of 3 passengers, while the other models like the crew and the extended comes with the capacity of six passengers. The vehicle happens to come in two different types of interior design models like the “luxury inspired’ and the “dubbed pure pickup” variants. The new Sierra from the General Motors Corporation is expected to come in the year 2010.

The engines to the vehicle vary based on the bed configuration and the cab model. The available engines to the vehicle are 6.2 liter V8 engine that produces 403 horse power, 4.3 liter V6 engine that generates 195 horse power, 6.0 liter V8 that produces 367 horse power, 4.8 liter V8 model that produces 295 horse power and the 5.3 liter V8 that produces 315 horse power. The rear drive vehicle from Sierra happens to come with the V8 5.3 liter engine, the six speed automatic transmission and the extra fuel economy is equipped in the vehicle. To equip the vehicle with XFE (Extra Fuel Economy), the car should come with the specific tires and wheels along with the other aerodynamic and the mechanical features in the vehicle. The General Motors claims that the Sierra increases the fuel economy by 7 percent when compared with the non XFE vehicles.

The new Sierra model comes with the safety features like:
• Curtain side airbags
• ABS
• Anti Skid system
• Traction Control

The other features in the vehicle include:

• Remote Engine Start
• Wireless Cell phone link
• Navigation System

The new 2010 Sierra will come out after testing the handling performance, cargo space, interior cabin as well as the engine efficiency of the vehicle.
