2010 Escalade coming soon
The new 2010 Escalade from Cadillac will be a luxury SUV segment that will have the capacity to accommodate up to eight passengers. The new model comes with minor changes in comparison to the 2009 Escalade model.
The new model will be offered in either extended or in standard length versions. The extended version will have the more seating capability. The next generation 2010 Escalade model will be mechanically similar to Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs. The changes to the new model will be an ironically named silver lining exterior color, USB connection in the center console, revised inner door design for enhanced safety, side thorax air bags at the front outboard seats and revised parking brake release.
Engine
The 2010 Escalade will be powered by a 6.2 liter V-8 engine. The next generation SUV will also be featured with magnetic ride control suspension paired with 22 inch tire/ wheel combinations. All wheel drive and rear wheel drive will be offered by the model for 2010 versions. The engine in the vehicle will be mated to 6-speed automatic transmission. Though the 2010 model will be featured with active fuel management system, the 2010 Escalade will get relatively poor fuel economy. The expected fuel economy of the vehicle in the city premises will be 12 miles per gallon, while 19 miles per gallon on the highway roads.
Looking into the interior region of the 2010 Escalade, it will be more luxurious, roomy and comfortable despite its truck roots.
2010 DTS
The 2010 DTS from Cadillac comes with no major changes when compared with the predecessor DTS model. The next generation model will be a large premium car that will be provided with a front wheel drive. The 2010 variant will be offered in four different trim levels namely, platinum, base, premium and luxury models. All versions of DTS come powered by 4.6 liter V8 engine that can produce power up to 275 hp at the rate of 6000 rotations per minute and comes mated with four-speed automatic transmission.

The engine in the premium, base and luxury models will deliver 275 hp of power, while the same engine in the platinum model will produce 292 hp of power.
The safety features that are expected to be provided in the next generation DTS model include
• Antilock braking system,
• Curtain side air bags,
• Lane departure warning systems,
• Antiskid system,
• Traction control, and
• Front side air bags

Leather upholstery will be provided as a standard feature on all the DTS versions. Cooled front seats and heated rear and front seats will be offered as optional on the base model, while provides as standard on the other three models. A heated steering wheel will be standard on all the models but the platinum and base models will have a specific trim and sport suspension. Standard on the platinum and premium models will be the navigation system with real time traffic updates.
According to the tests conducted by the Consumer guide, it is expected that the 2010 DTS model can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a time span of just 7 seconds. The luxury model will achieve a fuel economy of 23.7 miles per gallon on the highway roads, while it will achieve 18.7 miles per gallon in the city premises.

The features that are expected to be included in the next generation model include anti theft and locks, vehicle anti lockout, programmable power door locks, valet lockout, vehicle anti theft through pass key and alarm, break resistant security glass, Onstar stolen vehicle assistance with vehicle slow down, child safety door locks located on rear doors, selective locking and unlocking and Onstar remote ignition block.
The features in the traction and braking system include front power 323 mm x 30 mm ventilated disc brakes, 292 mm x 12 mm rear power disc brakes, four wheel antilock brakes, electronic brake assistance, electronic brake force distribution, all-speed traction control managed by engine and ABS, and stabiliTrak vehicle stability control system.

The electrical features that are expected to be included in the 2010 DTS model include front power outlet, front cigarette lighter with ashtray, battery, front power outlet integrated with cigarette lighter, 150 amp alternator, audio pre wiring, battery saver and delayed power retention operates power and audio for 10 minutes.
The entertainment, communication and navigation system in the model will feature with Onstar hands free calling with telephone, Am/Fm radio with scan, seek and speed sensitive volume and 8 speakers, CD player, XM satellite radio, MP3 player, telephone antenna, In-glass radio antenna, radio data system, Onstar turn by turn navigation aid and pre programmed equalizer.
2010 SRX to be rolled out by Cadillac!
The Cadillac will be releasing the new SRX model in the year 2010, the design features in the vehicle is similar to that of the BRX model released by the Cadillac group. The vehicle will be shown at the Detroit Auto Show in the year 2009. The SRX vehicle, which is yet to be released, will be a successor model to the Provoq concept from the Cadillac group.

The SRX model is sharing most of the features from the General Motors’s vehicles. The powertrain used in the SRX is the biggest difference when compared with the Provoq model. It uses the E-Flex powertrain that is based on the Volt along with an extender, the fuel cell range. The SRX model falls under the category of the conventional fully modern luxury crossover vehicle.
