The new Charger is a full size car built by the Chrysler LLC for the Dodge brand, which will hit the North American market next year. The name of the car has historical importance and the company has manufactured many of its kind in the same name. The vehicle was introduced in the month of February, 2005 and released as the model car for the year 2006. The latest model has the platform similar to that of LX of the model Chrysler 300. The interiors of the Charger vehicle are almost same as that of the Magnum from the Mercedes Benz. The vehicle was released as a replacement vehicle to Dodge Intrepid. This vehicle is a sedan type four door model, built in Canada at Brampton Assembly.

The first model in the line-up of Dodge Charger was released in the year 1964, which was based on the vehicle Polara and is equipped with 426 Wedge engine. The vehicle was kept in sale in the year 1966. Later in the year 1999, Dodge released its new concept car under the name Charger R/T. The vehicle was built based on the designs of various models, which were released from the year 1960 mainly the designs of second generation models. These models had four doors and the rear doors were blended in order to identify the design.

The vehicle Charger R/T has the features like rearward cab and long nose. The length of the vehicle is 4700 mm, while the Charger produced in the year 1966 was 5,200 mm long. The model Charger was released in the year 2006 by the Daimler Chrysler LLC group and has been under production ever since its release. The vehicle has its assembling plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The model was produced as a predecessor vehicle to Dodge Intrepid and it falls under the full size class with 4- door sedan.
The layout of the vehicle includes four wheel and rear wheel drive fixed with the engine at the front. The vehicle is build based on the platform of Chrysler LX platform. The vehicle offers 4 types of engines namely, 3.5 L V6 EGJ, 2.7 L V6 EER, 6.1 L V8 ESF HEMI and 5.7 L V8 EZB HEMI. The wheel base of the vehicle is 304.8 inches while the length, width and the height of the vehicle is 200.1 mm, 189 inches and 58.2 inches respectively.

Turning the focus towards the existing Charger models, the Charger SXT and SE are equipped with 3.5 L V6 Chrysler’s engine and are available at the starting price of 22,995 US Dollars. The base model in Canada has 2.7 L V6 engine producing 190 horse powers of energy and torque of 190 lb ft. The R/T model uses Hemi V8 5.7 L engine and sells for 29,995 US Dollars. The SRT 8 car comes with the engine Hemi V8 6.1 L and has the selling price as 35,320 US Dollars. This engine generates 317 Kilo Watts of energy and torque of 420 lb ft.
As far as the safety of the vehicle is concerned, the IIHS or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety provides the Charger model a good score in crash tests.

um i am a 16 year old kid and i am a huge charger fan and id have to say you should make the back end resemble the 69 charger r/t the idea ffor the challenger was almost spot on i would like to see the same happen for the cgarger
