Shelby GT500 Unveiled
Ford Motors has helped a lot in designing as well as styling of the Shelby GT500, and finally the 2010 GT 500 is ready to hit the market. 2010 GT500 is expected to come in both coupe as well as convertible models.
Shelby GT500 was unveiled at the 2003 New York International Auto Show for the first time. But, the company could launch this car to the market in the year 2006.

The 2007 Shelby Gt500 model used the Ford D2C platform. The assembly plant was shifted to Flat Rock in Michigan out of Dearborn city. The new 2007 Shelby Gt500 model was offered with two body styles-2-door coupe as well as 2-door convertible.
In terms of technical specifications, the 2007 Shelby GT500 made use of the 5.4 L, V8 engine, and generated a power of 500 hp. This high performing car was equipped with 6-speed manual transmission system. The wheelbase of this car was about 107.1 inches. The length, width and height of 2007 GT500 were measured to be 187.6 inches, 74 inches and 54.5 inches respectively.
The company has increased the size of the brand new 2010 Shelby GT500 model, which will feature length and width of 188.1 inches and 73.9 inches respectively.

The height of the coupe model is expected to be about 55.6 inches, whereas that of the convertible model is expected to be up to 56 inches. The design as well as performance of the 2010 Shelby GT500 is also enhanced. This model generates an output of 540 horse power. The top speed of this car is expected to be about 185 mph, and some of the minute details are still missing.
