The 2010 Beetle announced by Volkswagen

The 2010 Beetle is the future model car from Volkswagen, which is supposed to be released next time. The model looks similar to a normal car, but when viewed closely several changes can be spotted easily. The platform used for this model is same as that of upcoming scirocco and the existing Golf VI. The looks of the vehicle are expected to be more aggressive and modern. And, it will be the first time to offered in different versions, as convertible soft top, a micro van, hatchback, a pick up variant and as a wagon based crossover in both the GTi version and 4×4 versions.


The length of the model will be more in order to produce more space in the vehicle. The design is inspired by a concept given at an auto show in Frankfurt. LED technology will be introduced for the head lights. The Volkswagen group is coming with this model similar to that of BMW coming with its new model.

The style of the vehicle will be designed in the city of California and will be engineered in Germany. The range of the engine gas is 1.4 liter and it is aspirated naturally and with these turbocharged stuff, the naturally aspirated engine produces 80 horse power and the turbo-charged version produces 120 horse powers. The 1.6 liter engine along with 2 liters engine produces 102 horse powers.

The turbocharged engine produces 200 horse powers where as the naturally aspirated produces 150 horse powers of energy. Next to the TSI and FSI technology, Volkswagen group will come with a new TDi engine. The price of the vehicle will be 25 thousand Dollars as a starting price for the convertible version.

Fiat was the first company to celebrate 50th anniversary of Barbie, a special edition 500, and now it is the time for Volkswagen to do the same, thanks to the Beetle. The ABD Racing Werks team and a group of Foam Molders customized and transformed the model car. The company is done with all the designs from bottom to top and from exterior to interior.

The Volkswagen group released its unique edition, Beetle Blush in the market of United States and the models are produced very limited every year. The cost of the car is a whooping 26,990 USD, which comes with 170 lbs-ft of torque and throughput of 150 horse power is produced by the 2.5 Liter engine. The automatic 6 speed transmission is provided to the Blush edition.

The Choice of Colours

Though the standard version in Beetle is not offered with interior and exterior colors, the Blush version is provided with the different color variants as well. The metallic gold paint with white color adds compliments to the vehicle and the vehicle is provided with rich red top and red rich interior made up of leather. The only vehicle from the Blush edition that provides leather surface for its seats is Beetle. The other special features of the vehicle includes a red boot provided when the top is moved down and the vehicle is also equipped with the alloy wheels of 17 inches size.
