The legendary model Corvette from the house of Chevrolet happens to be a sports car that is being produced since the year 1953, and it has been released in six generations till date. The vehicles produced till now include from the series C1 to C6, with the C1 being the starting model and the C6 being the lastest of all. The vehicle ZR1 comes under the model design of C6 generation.

The model car Corvette ZR1 hit the roads for the first time in the year 1953, manufactured by the General Motors group. The first Corvette model was designed by Earl Harley and it was named by Myron Scott. The vehicle is built originally in St. Louis, Missouri and in Flint, Michigan and at present the model is built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which is an assembling plant for General Motors. The vehicle falls under the class of Sports car with the body style of 2- door Coupe.
The model Corvette ZR1 uses most powerful engine from starting model to till now. The model cars from Chevrolet won the awards from the magazines like Motor Trend and Driver and Car and from the firms like Automotive Engineers Society.

The vehicle was sold under the name of Chevrolet marque in the country of United States and in some other countries in the world and sold as Corvette marquee in the countries of Japan and Europe. The vehicle was built based on the versions of convertible and coupe.
The ZR1 has been under production initially during the period 1990 to 1995. The Lotus Company also got involved in the development of ZR1’s standard FX3 suspension system, which provides the basis for the suspension systems found in all other Corvette models. The tuning of the model Corvette was done at Belding, Michigan’s raceway, named Grattan.
In the year 1990, the model ZR1 set a record of 24 hour speed in Stockton Texas Fort, at the Firestone test track. The vehicle used the LT5 engine with small modifications like removal of converters. The racing team of Tommy Morrison averaged 282 Kilo meters per hour including the drivers change and re- fuelling.

The changes to the vehicle were made in the year 1992, the badges of ZR- 1 were displayed on front fenders of the vehicle and in addition, traction control system was fixed. The Lotus remodified the valve- train of LT5 and cylinder heads, resulting in the increase of horse power form 375 to 405. In addition to this, emission control system improved by the use of exhaust recirculation of gas and the production of ZR-1 ended in the year 1995 after building 6,939 vehicles.
In the year 1996, Chevrolet released its new Grand Sports versions at the end of Corvette C4. A total of thousand vehicles of grand sports were manufactured. The vehicle was equipped with the engine LT4, which generated 246 Kilo Watts of energy and 340 lb- ft of torque.
